Hubert’s Handmade Albums, Books & Portfolios

We partnered with the Barbara Hubert Hand Bookbindery in Cork over 15 years ago. We chose them after a nation-wide search of bookbinders for several reasons. Like many bookbinders, their work is of a very refined standard. They also have an extensive range of fabrics—nearly 30 fabrics are always in stock and they have access to another 200 fabrics, including leathers, at two week’s notice. Like ourselves, they provide a very personalised service and they are also willing to stretch beyond the normal to achieve what some of our very exacting clients want.

We keep a sample swatch here of all their standard fabrics plus many of the more exotic ones available in UK and Europe so it’s possible for you to choose the fabric cover that you want without travelling to Cork. Text and designs can also be embossed or screen printed (at Cork Printmakers).

They also have a range of standard designs and sizes. And they have made many non-standard sizes and customised designs for us over the years.  Ideally, it’s best to call in to us to see what is possible.  Or phone us to discuss your needs (our contact page is here).

And if you are in Cork, it’s well worth a visit to their shop… they are directly opposite the Triskel Arts Centre, near St. Patrick’s Street.
